Dr. Maja Baćović (Podgorica, 1976) is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro - area: macroeconomics, and the Head of Academic Undergraduate Studies in Business and Economics (MONTEB). Member of the Editorial Board of the Economy topic in the Encyclopedia of Montenegro.

She received her doctorate at the University of Montenegro (2005), and was appointed as assistant professor in 2006, associate professor in 2011, and a full professor in 2022. In addition to her academic career, she was Vice-rector of the University of Montenegro (2015–2017), member of the Senate (2013–2017), acting Dean and Vice dean for international cooperation at the Faculty of Economics (2012–2014). She spent two academic years studyind abroad (USA, Great Britain, EU countries). In 2021, she was awarded by the University of Montenegro for contribution to scientific research at the Faculty of Economics.

Learning outcomes:

Upon completion of the course, the student will acquire the knowledge and skills to: Measure (quantify) the value of basic macroeconomic aggregates; Show knowledge and understanding of the basic analytical concepts that are essential for understanding the global macro economy; Assess the impact of macroeconomic developments in the country on selected variables; Analyses the impact of macroeconomic policy measures on income, employment and inflation; Explain the effect of changes in international markets (commodity and financial markets) on the national economy.
