The Faculty of Economics, as a part of the University of Montenegro, is the first faculty in Montenegro with over 2,300 active students, and since its establishment, more than sixty years ago, almost 14,000 students have graduated from all study programs. The Faculty of Economics is one of the most important educational and scientific research institutions in Montenegro. The faculty is recognized as one of the key subjects in creating adequate personnel support in the process of building a modern economic environment, as well as a fundamental partner in the implementation of key economic reforms. With 50 members of the teaching staff and numerous guest professors from partner institutions around the world, the Faculty of Economics is a modern higher education institution that follows global trends in the education of modern economists. We are dedicated to a creative and interdisciplinary approach using modern teaching and scientific research methods, as well as developing our students’ interest in entrepreneurial initiatives. Our programs are intended for the best high school students who want to acquire knowledge and skills for the international labor market.

The Faculty of Economics is the right address for young people who want to become experts in the field of economic policy, finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, banking, and accounting or to become successful businessmen and private business owners.

Faculty of Economics is committed to constant improvement of scientific research and has consequently focused its teaching process on the concept of lifelong learning, as this is the foundation of its future development. Today, students of Faculty of Economics have the opportunity to spend a part of their studies at prestigious universities, to present their work at the symposia, as well as to express their competitive spirit in numerous competitions where they are awarded prizes and awards.

The teaching process, in addition to theoretical teaching, includes practical teaching. Students acquire practical knowledge, skills, and competencies within the teaching and scientific research infrastructure of the faculty, or through practice with employers in appropriate business entities and other legal entities that meet the requirements for the realisation of professional practice. The Faculty has signed a contract on the implementation of professional practice with these employers, that is, an agreement on cooperation. The database of associates of the Faculty of Economics from the public and private sector today includes more than 70 partner institution.
