The Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro proudly holds the title of the first higher education institution in Montenegro that became a member of AACSB and thereby opened the door to the most significant process so far - the process of obtaining AACSB accreditation!
The Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, Assistant Professor Tamara Backović, emphasized that for the Faculty of Economics and our students, this represents a step towards international recognition, higher quality programs, stronger partnerships and competitiveness on the global market of knowledge and work!
The AACSB ICAM 2025 conference in Vienna, during which the Faculty of Economics became a member of this prestigious association, gathered leaders from the world of education and business from all over the world and offered a space for exchanging ideas, learning and creating connections that shape the future of business education.
During two days of intensive sessions and inspiring speeches, the topics of innovations in education, redefinition of the MBA program, the importance of flexibility, connecting the local and the global, as well as the role of business schools in a time of rapid changes, attracted the most attention.
Vice-Dean Backović explained that the most frequently repeated term at the conference was MBA, i.e. "Master of Business Ambiguity": "In times of uncertainty and constant change, business education must shape professionals who understand complexity, nurture awareness, flexibility and the ability to act in uncertainty. This is exactly what we strive for," she concluded.
