A panel discussion "Financial Markets: Trends and Opportunities" was successfully held at the Faculty of Economics, which brought together experts from the field of banking and investment consulting. This event marked the beginning of this year's event The Right Start, whose goal is to create extracurricular content that allows students to connect with the business sector and provides them with the opportunity to learn directly from professionals.
Marko Peković, director of the management of balance sheet relations and financial market operations sector, NLB banka AD Podgorica, took part in the panel; Admir Ademović, executive director, TF Capital; Miljan Mijatović, director of the Directorate for Global Markets and Financial Services, CKB Bank and Marko Pešić, MA, Head of the Investment Banking Department, Hipotekarna banka AD Podgorica. The discussion was moderated by Jelena Jovović, MSc, and the topics of the discussion were contemporary trends in financial markets, the impact of globalization and digitalization, investment opportunities and career opportunities for young economists.
Students were told at the panel discussion that financial markets offer numerous opportunities, not only in terms of investing, but also for their future professional development. During the discussion, experts from practice emphasized the importance of continuous training, including formal and informal education, as well as work on soft skills, which are crucial for career advancement in this dynamic sector. In addition, students had the opportunity to expand their knowledge about current trends shaping financial markets, available investment instruments in Montenegro and increasingly simple investment processes.
The panel discussion aroused great interest of undergraduate and master's students, as well as young professionals, who actively participated by asking questions to the panelists and gaining valuable insights into the functioning of the money and capital markets.
