As part of the Introduction to Business course, first-year students of the Economics and Business program (MONTEB) had the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro (STP). The visit, organized by the professor Boban Melović PhD, and the teaching assistant Dragana Ćirović MSc, aimed to provide students with a practical insight into the functioning and objectives of this institution, fostering their understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
The host of the visit was the executive director, Ms. Valentina Radulović, who gave students a detailed presentation of the infrastructure and operational aspects of the Science and Technology Park, emphasizing its role in promoting innovation and supporting startups in Montenegro. Following the tour of the STP, Ms. Radulović delivered an interactive presentation tailored to the students, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the mission, goals, and strategies of the STP in supporting startups. Topics such as funding mechanisms, plans for fostering innovation and mentoring opportunities for students and young entrepreneurs were thoroughly explained, sparking significant interest among the students.
This visit provided a unique opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical examples, enhancing their comprehension of the business and entrepreneurial landscape in Montenegro. Events like this play a crucial role in equipping students with the knowledge and inspiration to pursue innovative ventures in the future.
