As part of the Introduction to Business course, first-year students of the Economics and Business (MONTEB) study program at the Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro, visited the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro (STP). The study visit was organized by professor Boban Melović, PhD, and teaching associates Dragana Ćirović, PhD, and David Vukićević, with the aim of familiarizing students with the practical aspects of Montenegro’s contemporary innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The host of the visit was the executive director of STP, Valentina Radulović, MSc, who introduced the students to the vision, mission, and key programs of the Science and Technology Park. During her presentation, she placed particular emphasis on funding opportunities for innovative projects, mentorship programs, and various support services that STP provides to young people, enabling students to gain a clearer understanding of the role and importance of modern innovation institutions. Following the presentation, the executive director answered numerous questions from students, who demonstrated their willingness to contribute to the development of an innovation culture in Montenegro.
The students toured STP’s facilities and infrastructure, gaining insights into available support programs, spaces dedicated to startups and initiatives undertaken by the institution to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Montenegro.
The study visit holds significant educational value, as it enables students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience and real-world business environments, while encouraging them to explore the development of their own innovative ideas and entrepreneurial ventures.
