The Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro will host an international scientific conference, the Montenegrin International Conference on Economics & Business (MICEB 2024), on September 12 th and 13 th , 2024, organized within the framework of the CROSS-REIS Horizon project. The central theme of this year;s conference is Green Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The conference will bring together experts, researchers, and decision-makers from various fields of economics and business, with a particular focus on green initiatives and sustainable development. The two-day program will include plenary sessions, thematic sessions, and discussions.

The keynote speakers opening the conference are renowned experts:

 Ron Boschma from Utrecht University, an expert in regional economics and innovation, with an emphasis on industry evolution and smart specialization policy.

 Maya Karkour, director of EcoConsulting, specializing in the circular economy andsustainable practices, with experience in green entrepreneurship and education on sustainable policies.

 Aura Reggiani from the University of Bologna, a specialist in spatial economics and modeling, with a focus on network development and complexities in economic systems.

 Olivera Vukajlović, advisor to the President of Montenegro for sustainable development, who will present the challenges and opportunities for Montenegro on its path to sustainable development.

The plenary session will be led by Milan Raičević, MSc, a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Economics.

After the opening session, participants will have the opportunity to attend thematic sessions dedicated to the circular economy and sustainable development, led by Assistant Professor Milena Lipovina-Božović, PhD, as well as a session on the green transition and innovations in finance, moderated by Full Professor Ana Lalević-Filipović, PhD. The conference will be an important opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas among leaders in the fields of economics and entrepreneurship.
