As part of the traditional The Right Start lecture series, the Faculty of Economics had the honor of hosting Mr. Martin Leberle, the Chairman of the Management Board of NLB Bank a.d. Podgorica. His lecture, The Future of Banking: How to Prepare Today for What’s Coming, attracted great interest from students, including those from the English-language programs in economics and business – Monteb.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Mijat Jocović, who expressed his gratitude to Mr. Leberle for attending and emphasized that NLB Bank is one of the most important strategic partners of the Faculty. He also highlighted the importance of such lectures for students, stating that the doors of the Faculty of Economics are always open for future meetings and knowledge exchange.
During the lecture, Mr. Leberle discussed the key factors for the successful transformation of business models in modern banking. He placed special focus on understanding client needs, strategic investments in technology, and the development of artificial intelligence, which will play a key role in the future of the financial sector. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions about the challenges and opportunities brought about by digitalization.
In conclusion, Mr. Leberle advised students to learn and work on themselves, stressing that although it may seem like learning ends when you graduate, it actually only begins then.
The large turnout and interactive atmosphere once again confirmed the importance of connecting the academic community with business leaders, preparing students for dynamic changes in the financial sector.
