As part of the Principles of Marketing course, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand from industry professionals during a guest lecture by Ivana Gazivoda and Milica Matović, Faculty of Economics alumni and co-founders of MyTurn App.
The lecture provided valuable insights into the startup journey, covering the idea development process, key features, and main benefits of their innovative digital product. In addition to presenting the app itself, the co-founders guided students through an analysis of the marketing environment, addressing both micro and macro factors that influence their business.
This practical example helped students gain a deeper understanding of market dynamics and strategic decision-making. Throughout the semester, students will apply these insights by developing a Marketing Strategy for MyTurn App. This includes analyzing the competitive landscape, defining the target market and buyer persona, and creating original marketing content.
Their work will build up to final presentations in mid-May, where Ivana and Milica will return to the Faculty of Economics to provide feedback on the students strategic proposals. This collaboration offers students an engaging learning experience, bridging theory and practice while taking part in real-world challenges faced by startups in the digital space.
